Robotic Tip Inspection
Robotic tips are used with high performance, high precision equipment. Sorenson offers tips for use with various Beckman liquid handling workstation models. When robotic tips are poorly manufactured, the rate of failures increase to a point where progress is severely impeded, reagents and samples are lost, and results are inaccurate. Sorenson recognizes the importance of tips that seal properly on the robotic head and that are as straight and true as possible.
In addition to manufacturing tips using the most advanced methods, developed over the last several years, our tips are also inspected by a computerized vision system. Tips that fail inspection for straightness and centering are discarded to ensure that every rack of robotic tips is free of tips that are
- bent or broken
- malformed
- curved or bannana-like
- plugged off at the tip
Every rack of Sorenson Bioscience racked tips are inspected using our custom-built visual inspection system.
