Sorenson BioScience launches new "Green" website

4/8/08: Today, Sorenson BioScience launched its new "Green" site. This site details Sorenson BioScience's commitment to sustaining the environment through innovative product/packaging design and manufacturing processes.

Featured on this site is the forthcoming e.dek rack which significantly reduces the amount of plastic waste generated in the lab. Simply smash the paper board rack and recycle it with your paperboard waste.

The Sorenson"Green" site lists materials for manufacture and packaging. You will see Sorenson's efforts to use sustainable materials.

Good-bye to a good friend and dedicated employee

4/4/08 Carol Byington passed away today due to complications from surgery. Carol worked for Sorenson BioScience for 20 years and leaves behind numerous friends. Her obituary can be viewed online at the Salt Lake Tribune.

Sorenson BioScience launches redesigned website

April 4, 2008 Sorenson BioScience launched its newly designed website today. In addition to a new design and layout, the new site contains new features such as on-demand lot certificates and site search capabilities. Check back often as the site will be updated with more new features such as the Sorenson Green section which details Sorenson's efforts to sustain our environment.

New and improved QuickRack design launched

June 20, 2007 - Sorenson released the newly designed QuickRack Tip Transfer System. The improved design of the transfer device locks onto the leaflet of tips, making it easier to transfer tips. Catalog numbers will remain the same and the change is effective with lot number Q22614.

QuickRack Tip Transfer System is an environmentally friendly system that allows you to easily re-use your racks instead of throwing them out. 80% less plastic waste is generated.

SBI Registered to ISO 9001:2000

Sorenson BioScience, Inc. successfully completed the registration process for ISO 9001:2002. The company has refined many processes and renewed their commitment to quality in order to provide customers with better products and customer service. SBI is commited to aggressively set the standard for quality in the industry. ISO is an international standard for conducting quality business with a focus on producing the highest quality products with a strong focus on the customer. SBI officially received their ISO 9001:2000 certification in April of 2003.

Denise Jordan Joins Sorenson BioScience

June 16, 2008 - Sorenson BioScience is pleased to welcome Denise Jordan to its Marketing team. As product manager, Denise will play an integral role in supporting Sorenson's channel partners and sales team, and will focus on maximizing Sorenson's environmental liquid handling products and sustainability initiative throughout the industry.

Denise graduated from the University of Utah in 1994, and comes to Sorenson with a background in marketing, communications and public relations. Denise lives in Salt Lake City with her four "boys" - her husband, two young sons (Cole and Dillon) and dog Scoobie.
